Dig
The excavator follows the staked outline down to engineered depth, cutting the floor profile, steps, and benches as drawn. Spoil is hauled off the same day whenever access allows.

Steel
Crews tie a continuous rebar cage across the floor and walls to the engineer's schedule. It's what turns a hole in the ground into a structure — and it's inspected before anything covers it.

Pre-Plumbing
Suction, return, and feature lines are trenched and stubbed in, then capped and pressure-tested. Lines hold test pressure through the next stages so any leak shows up now, not under a finished deck.

Gunite
Pneumatically-applied concrete is shot over the steel to form the shell — the single biggest day of the build. The shell then cures for several days, with periodic wet-downs to cure evenly.

Plumbing
The full circulation system is completed and tied to the equipment pad location — skimmers, returns, drains, and any spa or feature plumbing — and pressure-tested again as a complete loop.

Close Trenches & Bonding
With plumbing verified, trenches are backfilled and compacted, and the bonding grid is connected around the shell perimeter. The bonding inspection signs off the electrical safety envelope.

Tile & Coping
Waterline tile and coping go on next — the details you'll actually touch every day. Layout, grout color, and corner cuts are checked against the design selections before setting.

Footer and/or Retaining Wall
Where the site needs it, footers and retaining walls are formed, steeled, and poured now, so grade changes and raised features are structurally settled before deck work begins.

Deck & Equipment
The deck is formed, poured or set, and finished, while the pump, filter, heater, and automation are mounted and plumbed at the equipment pad.

Electrical
A licensed electrician wires the equipment pad, lighting, and controls, and completes the final electrical inspection — including GFCI protection for everything near the water.

Fence / Screen
Barrier requirements are completed and verified — fencing, self-closing gates, alarms, or screen enclosure, per your jurisdiction — because the plaster stage can't be scheduled without it.

Plaster
Interior finish is applied in a single continuous pour, and the pool begins filling immediately. We handle startup chemistry across the first weeks and walk you through your new routine at handoff.
